| Description |
|
Glucose oxidase, a type of oxidoreductase, mediates the oxidation process of glucose. It primarily converts glucose into gluconic acid and hydrogen peroxide, with concurrent consumption of oxygen during the reaction. This enzyme features prominent substrate specificity and requires moderate reaction conditions. It retains stable catalytic activity in neutral to slightly acidic media and also demonstrates favorable thermostability. |
